2. Selection Process, Exam pattern and Syllabus

The selection process of Indian Economic Service (IES) & Indian Statistical Service (ISS) at UPSC will comprise of

  1. Preliminary Examination: Two papers of Objective type (Multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 400 marks
  2. Main Examination: Written examination (1750 Marks) &
  3. Interview (275 marks)
