2. Selection Process, Exam pattern and Syllabus

The selection process of Probationary Officer (PO) at SBI will comprise of

  1. Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
  2. Phase-II: Main Examination
  3. Phase-III: Interview

Written Exam Pattern/ Scheme of Examination: 

Preliminary Exam: 

100 Objective type (Multiple Choice Questions); Duration- 1 hour, Total marks- 100, Computer based-

  1. Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Questions; 20 minutes
  2. Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions; 20 minutes
  3. English Language: 30 Questions; 20 minutes
  4. Negative Marking- 1/4th
